No. Awareness is about avoiding disturbance and knowing when to stop work.
Is asbestos awareness a legal requirement?
Yes. The Control of Asbestos Regulations require awareness training for anyone whose work could disturb asbestos-containing materials.
Does it allow me to work with asbestos?
No. Awareness training teaches you to recognise and avoid ACMs. Removal work needs non-licensed or licensed training.
How often is refresher training needed?
Annual refresher training is the accepted standard.
